Battling On The Back Porch

Hello everyone!

June 8, 2024-- exciting things was happening on the back porch!!!

The culinary team engaged in an activity called, "Battling on the Back Porch".

This was a cooking contest. Each team was given a list of available ingredients and they had to create a menu or a dish. Neil Ortego spoke to the team about the importance of reading the back of packaging to determine what is in these foods. He also talked the girls about the importance of staying away from too much sugar and other topics.

The team reported to the "grocery table" to purchase items needed for their newly created menus.

Then, OFF TO BACK PORCH, TURN ON THE STOVES, AND THE BATTLE BEGAN!

The team had to set their desk up like a table with place settings and all.

Every team did a fantastic job with planning and cooking! I am so proud of my babies!
