Our Beginner's Class--Day one

Hello everyone!!
June 17, 2024, we added another division to our culinary program-- a beginner's class! These adventurers are 4th through 6th graders.
Alrighty! For this class we are learning about the My Plate program. We begin this journey learning the five food groups. Then, the adventurers were given the task of creating a healthy breakfast art using products from the five food groups.
One interesting comment that came out was, "Ms. Linda, the pancakes taste good even though we did not have syrup!" Welp! They are beginning to understand that they can enjoy foods without eating tons of sugar!!
